In the wake of the backlash surrounding the PlayStation Network (PSN) login requirement for Helldivers 2, Sucker Punch Productions has moved to assure gamers that their upcoming PC release of Ghost of Tsushima will not face a similar issue.
Ghost of Tsushima, the critically acclaimed 2020 action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, is set to launch on PC via Steam on May 16th, 2024. In response to a user's tweet, the developer clarified that while a PSN account will be required for the game's online multiplayer mode, Legends, and to use the PlayStation overlay, it is not necessary to play the single-player campaign.
Sucker Punch Productions stated, "Just so you are aware, A PSN account is required for Legends online multiplayer mode and to use PlayStation overlay. It is not required to play the singleplayer game."
Thank you for your feedback.
