CD Projekt Red has announced that the official mod editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, called REDkit, will be released on Steam on May 21st, 2024. The powerful editing tool will be available as a free download for all owners of the game on PC.
REDkit, developed in collaboration with Yigsoft, allows players to extensively customize and expand The Witcher 3 game world in unprecedented ways. The editor provides advanced features and flexibility to create new quests, characters, animations, and more.
According to CD Projekt Red, REDkit offers the same powerful toolset used by the game's original developers, unleashing creativity for users to truly craft their own unique Witcher experience. From building new storylines and territories to designing items, weapons, and more, the possibilities are vast.
The release unlocks opportunities for modding communities to collaborate and share their creations. CD Projekt Red expressed excitement to see the imaginative mods players will build using REDkit.
