NVIDIA has released a major update to its ChatRTX application, adding highly anticipated features like voice interaction and photo/image search capabilities. ChatRTX is a demo app that allows users to interact with their local files and data through a personalized chatbot powered by large language AI models and accelerated by NVIDIA RTX GPUs.
One of the key new additions is an automatic speech recognition system that enables users to simply talk to ChatRTX using voice commands. The app will process the spoken language and provide text responses, with support for multiple languages.
The update also introduces photo and image search functionality. Users can now query ChatRTX via text or voice to search through their photo albums and image files, keeping everything private and running locally on their RTX-powered Windows PC or workstation.
Another enhancement is expanded model support, allowing ChatRTX to leverage the latest advances in large language model AI. As demoed at GTC in March, this provides more powerful and capable conversational interactions.
At its core, ChatRTX uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), TensorRT-LLM, and RTX acceleration to deliver fast, secure, and contextually relevant responses based on the user's own files across various formats like text documents, PDFs, images, and more. The app quickly ingests this local data into its library for seamless querying via the chat interface.
With this update providing voice controls, image search, and new model support, ChatRTX becomes an even more versatile personal AI assistant for productivity, research, and accessing information across one's private digital archives.
