NVIDIA has announced the release of Chat with RTX, a new demo application that enables users to create personalized chatbots powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Leveraging NVIDIA RTX GPUs and technologies like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and TensorRT-LLM, Chat with RTX allows users to connect the application to their documents and data to get contextual answers from a custom chatbot.

Chat with RTX is designed to run locally on Windows PCs and workstations with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 or 40-series GPUs to provide fast and secure results. The application supports importing a variety of file types like text, PDFs, Word docs, and even YouTube playlist transcriptions to build its knowledge base. NVIDIA notes the demo app builds on the TensorRT-LLM RAG developer reference project available on GitHub, allowing developers to use it as a starting point to create their own AI applications accelerated by NVIDIA RTX GPUs.
