ASUS has announced that the ROG Ally handheld gaming device is now receiving support for AMD's Fluid Motion Frames technology. On April 25, 2024, ASUS released updates that enable this new feature on the ROG Ally.
The iGPU driver update version 31.0.24027.1012, available through Armoury Crate SE and the ASUS official website, adds support for AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF). This driver update also includes a bug fix that resolves an issue where certain textures may become invisible while playing Final Fantasy X HD Remaster.
Additionally, ASUS released ACSE (Armoury Crate SE) version 1.4.13, which enhances the display speed of the Game Library, adds AFMF information to the Real-time Monitor overlay, resolves a sporadic issue with AMD graphics card driver updates in the Update Center, and expands Keymap functionality to support the assignment of keys as trigger keys (requires MCU v317 or newer).
The MCU 317 update, also released on April 25, expands Keymap functionality to support the assignment of keys as trigger keys (requires ACSE 1.4.13 or newer). For example, the M1 button can be assigned as the Left Trigger.
Finally, the Asus Hotplug Controller 3.0.0 update, released on April 25 through Armoury Crate SE, enhances the stability of the Asus Hotplug Controller.
