The ROG Strix SCAR 16 is a powerful gaming beast, built to dominate on the PC Gaming battlefield. At its core is an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor with 24 cores and 32 threads, capable of pushing up to a 65W TDP. This hybrid chip is designed from the ground up for elite gaming performance on the latest Windows 11 operating system.
For graphics grunt, the SCAR 16 wields up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a blistering 175W maximum graphics power and support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, Ada Lovelace architecture, and Max-Q technologies. It also features NVIDIA Advanced Optimus with a MUX switch to route frames directly to the display for a 5-10% performance boost.
The visuals are just as stunning as the internals, with a 16-inch 2.5K (2560x1600) Nebula HDR mini LED display offering over 2000 dimming zones, a 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. For audio, Dolby Atmos multi-channel sound and AI noise cancelation provide an immersive experience.
Keeping this gaming monster cool is a triple fan system with full surround vents, 7 heatpipes, and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal thermal compound. The cooling allows up to 15°C lower CPU and GPU temperatures compared to dual-fan designs.
The SCAR 16 can be configured with up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory and up to 4TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage in RAID 0 for blistering 7000MB/s throughput.
