Taipei, Taiwan - ASUS has announced new additions to its Vivobook S series laptops for 2024, featuring the latest AMD Ryzen 8000 mobile processors with integrated AI acceleration technology.
The new 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 16-inch Vivobook S models are ultra-slim and lightweight with a premium all-metal design. They offer high-resolution OLED displays with up to 3.2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rates and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
Under the hood, the laptops utilize up to an AMD Ryzen 8040 processor with 50W TDP for improved performance. The built-in AMD Ryzen AI engine works with the CPU and GPU to optimize workloads using machine learning, enabling faster speeds especially for AI-powered applications.
Additional key highlights of the 2024 Vivobook S lineup include fast LPDDR5X RAM, PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, customizable RGB backlit keyboards, large touchpads, IR cameras with physical shutters, and Dolby Atmos speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.
The new models also meet the MIL-STD 810H military standard for durability and incorporate ASUS’ own cooling and battery technologies for better thermal performance and battery life compared to their predecessors.
